Research
My research has focused on three main areas: i) sedimentology and stratigraphy, ii) U-Pb geochronology, and iii) low-to-medium grade metamorphism in pelites.
I have worked on Miocene sedimentary basins, establishing their facies relationships, sedimentary sequences, and relationship with their basement. My second area of interest is U-Pb dating. I have worked with detrital, magmatic, and metamorphic zircons using LA-ICP-MS and SHRIMP. To broaden my options, I have explored geochronology with monazites. My third field has focused on thermobarometry studies to determine P-T-X conditions in Ordovician rocks. My research has been carried out in the Iberian Massif and the Ecuadorian Andes.
