Research

Geoenvironmental analysis of vadose zone subterranean environments, aiming to unravel the role of subterranean ecosystems as regulators of Greenhouse Gases. We seek to determine their global impact and predict their response and evolution in a changing climate. This research has applications in the conservation of natural and cultural heritage in subterranean environments, such as caves, catacombs, and volcanic tubes, and in the study of the deterioration processes.
