"Dogs day" at the MNCN
The National Museum of Natural Science (MNCN-CSIC) is one of the first museums of natural history in the world to allow dogs inside their spaces (without counting assistance dogs). For everyone to enjoy their visit, there are some conditions that you have to take in consideration before bringing your dog:
- You can visit the Museum with your dog every day inside the oppening hours.
- The carer should ensure that the pet's behaviour is correct.
- The dog shall be kept on a lead of less than 2 metres in length.
- The dog must have the vaccination record in force.
- The dog must be covered by a civil liability insurance. Any damage caused by the animal will be the responsibility of its caretaker.
- The keeper must prevent the animal from depositing its faeces in the Museum. If this happens, it must be cleaned up immediately, leaving the bag in the nearest organic matter container, which will be indicated by the room staff.
- Your dog's movements inside the Museum may be affected by the type of exhibition or activity taking place at the time. For more details, ask at Information.
- Dogs considered potentially dangerous according to current legislation must wear a muzzle and the caretaker must be above 18 years old.
- The entrance to the gardens of the Museum it is not allowed.
- It is forbidden to let the dog alone.
- The carer is responsible of the compliance with these rules when the dog enters the Museum.
Thank you so much for your collaboration!
