Visit the National Museum of Natural Sciences (MNCN-CSIC) thanks to Google Arts & Culture

Now you can visit the Museo Nacional de Ciencias Naturales without going outside your home. You only need a computer, a tablet or a smartphone to get inside our rooms and enjoy our great collections with the main details. You bring the curioisity and we show you more than 160 collections samples and two virtual expositions that we have created to bring you the best about our museum.

Thanks to the new technologies, you can virtual visit the MNCN. If you have an Internet connection you can enjoy about our spectacular collections, also some ones that are not public. This has been possible thanks to our participation in the Arts & Culture Program by Google, that they have created an specific space to natural science. We share this proyect with Google and another 62 institutions of Natural History around the world.

We wan't to approach the Museum to the public to give the chance to they to enjoy the things and services that we provide without any cost. Thanks to that, we approach the Museum to everyone, also to that people that can't come to visit it.

With the Indoor Street View tool, you can virtual see the Museum through a computer, a tablet or a smartphone without paying. Also, you can see three interactive expositions:

- An illustrated walk by the science and culture of overseas through the Quadro of Natural, Civil and Geographic History of the Reyno of Peru (1799)

- Emblematic pieces: a visual tour of one of the oldest natural science museums

- A walk inside the National Museum of Natural Sciences

This three tours allow us to discover historical and unique pieces from the Museum. We have selected 164, some that are not available to the public. This exhibitions can be see in all detail. Also, you can learn some facts about that.

The expositions are free in Android and IOS mobile phones (in the Google Play and App Store apps). Also, you can visit the museum with virtual reality glasses thanks to the app that you can found in the bottom of the page. With our guided tour audio "A walk inside the MNCN" you can listen about our differents spaces in the Museum.
