Natural hazards are common in high mountains and nowadays, due to climate change occurs more frequently. Moreover, the concern about their gradient is increasing.

High mountain forests are very important in this area. They resist avalanches, rockfalls, floods, and torrents and at the same time, they are resilient and adapt to climate change

My thesis aims to study how trees can withstand and adapt to natural hazards in the context of climate change and can be used as nature-based solutions.
