Investigación

My research focuses on applying landscape ecology to understand multitrophic interactions within agroecosystems and their effects on ecosystem services. With a degree in Environmental Sciences, I further specialised through an expert certification and two master's degrees in Plant Health, Biotechnology, Integrated Pest Management, and Agroecosystem Functionality. During my PhD and Margarita Salas postdoctoral fellowship, I developed strong expertise in experimental approaches at both laboratory and agroecosystem scales, investigating multitrophic interactions involving plants, natural enemies, herbivores, plant viruses, host plants, and vectors. Much of my scientific output has been grounded in strategies related to conservation biological control. Currently, at the MNCN, my work focuses on how agri-environmental measures implemented under the Common Agricultural Policy influence biodiversity through landscape ecology approach. As a researcher, my aim is to contribute to the development of sustainable agroecosystems by balancing conservation biology with productive agricultural practices fostering coexistence that respects and sustains biodiversity in all its dimensions.
